If you've got some scrap wood around, you can make a "ramp". just run each tire up on a piece of wood or 2 to get it high enough to get your head under the car. I have the Hyundai XG350l, which is kind of low, but I can change the oil w/o putting it on ramps/blocks/lifts of any kind.

Be sure to study where the drain plug is and make sure that you approach it from the direction that will not encourage the used oil to run down your arm. good luckmassagemickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04628500022564895466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2370032124116696316.post-21601833253030562922013-04-07T22:41:25.521-03:002013-04-07T22:41:25.521-03:00http://www.vincelewis.net/bigengine.html you might...http://www.vincelewis.net/bigengine.html you might find this interesting, then follow the main links to a link called oil.massagemickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04628500022564895466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2370032124116696316.post-61436725987533506082013-04-07T00:09:24.121-03:002013-04-07T00:09:24.121-03:00Engines are pretty amazing, and transmissions are ...Engines are pretty amazing, and transmissions are even more amazing. It's been ...No, Mick, you make a lot of sense. It's been very much on my mind throughout each project. What I'm hoping is that I'm going to find a lot of new things that interest me, and even if I don't have a 843 hour day in which to indulge them all, I'll be able to more easily fall back into them with the foundation understanding of my ten days. Still, you got to admit, the potential for reading a mental breakdown in progress might be a draw for a couple of people reading.Vitruv Ian Michael Swinemerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13273418576418710050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2370032124116696316.post-36939426117864548912013-03-05T09:21:13.919-04:002013-03-05T09:21:13.919-04:00what I've been wondering, is how you'll ha...what I've been wondering, is how you'll have time to continue all these different activities. By the time you stretch, read some Tom Sawyer, knit a little bit, and this is only 6 weeks into the project....guess I'm saying if you learn to knit but don't keep knitting you'll forget how. I also love "bjournal" even though it makes me think of Swedish bathroom fixtures (or maybe because of that?).

I had to read/listen to a book about the creation of the Vitruvian Man sketch for my blog, as you know. I still have the audiobook if you'd care to listen to it. You may find it interesting.

One of the things I learned is that the concept of the "divine proportion"--i.e. the measurements of man being exactly proportionate in predictable and mathematical ways--wasn't just a way map out architecure, so much as it was a way to prove that God was the architect of the universe and man was his greatest creation.

Unfortunately, the divine proportion, or divine ratio, doesn't exactly work out, even in the drawing. Leonardo cheated a little with his sketch to make it work better.

I'm excited about the museum project! I really like looking at paintings, but sometimes I glaze over at artifacts (that wasn't meant to be a pun on glazed pottery...wait, why would you even think it was?) so we can help each other.Beatnik Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10452820877029354490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2370032124116696316.post-23041742984970052822013-02-04T17:23:12.245-04:002013-02-04T17:23:12.245-04:00Those are some kooky kids you teach there mike.
